Mariapia Tropepe – Mariapia has more than 13 years experience in Human Resources Management. Graduated, she earned a MA with Distinction in Education at the University of Bari (Italy); a further MPhil’s in IT and Telecommunications were completed before she started working for an IT consulting company in Milan.
She became the HR Manager and Deputy HR Director of the Milan and Rome offices of the company. She gained her MPhil in Human Resources Management in Milan and she moved with her family to Bristol in 2006.
In 2011 Mariapia founded Iussus Ltd, a company based in Bristol providing consultancy in recruiting of IT and Telecomunication professionals, working on projects which span across Italy and the United Kingdom.
Cristina Orlando – Cristina was born and brought up in Florence. She studied languages during Secondary School. She took a gap year to dedicate herself full time to her passion, ballet. She enrolled in the Architecture degree course at the University of Florence. Following on her degree, Cristina studied Restoration of Historic Parks and Gardens.
She combined these studies with work in a busy Architect Studio specialising in the restoration of old buildings. Later she moved to Parma, Belfast, Amsterdam with her husband, setting eventually in Bristol in 1997. In Bristol she worked as a volunteer for the National Trust in Cirencester. Then she turned to serious fundraising, setting events to raise money for Baytree, part of the Dawolife Hall Educational Foundation in London; The Kianda Foundation in Kenya and Monkole Hospital in the Congo (These are sister Charities of DHEF). She divided her time between Bristol and Florence, appreciating both cultures.
